In addition to work on the airfield, our biologists monitor local
wildlife populations and
research migration patterns to provide the most accurate and current
information on bird movement patterns that may influence the safety
of flying operations. At each of
our military
instillations we are extremely active in the entire BASH program and
have been instrumental in focusing their BASH plans on the specific
problems at each facility. We have made recommendations for phase
II operational restrictions that have decreased birdstrikes without
negatively impacting the training and readiness of our military
forces. We understand the needs of our military clients and
civilian airfields and we will work with you to improve the
efficiency of your Birdstrike control program. We have improved reporting and
species identification in the BASH programs for our clients as well
as being responsible for tracking birdstrike data and identifying
trends. We present the program to the Bird Hazard Working Groups
and have also contributed to Quarterly Flight Safety Briefings,
Newcomer’s Briefings and Airfield Operations Board Meetings for our
clients.
Additional projects we have completed for our clients:

habitat management recommendations

population management
